Aaron Watkinsā€™ career started as a defensive back with the Pickering Dolphins for a few years.

He then moved on to the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL) to play with the Oshawa Hawkeyes, where he played running back for the first time and earned a starting spot.

The Hawkeyes standout also played a year at the high school level with the Sinclair Celtics.

Aaron is optimistic that the Ontario Prospect Challenge (OPC) will be a great stepping stone for his career.

ā€œMy goals for the Ontario Prospect Challenge (OPC) is to make the team and hopefully get a starting spot,ā€ said Aaron, ā€œIā€™m also hoping OPC can help me improve the football player [I am] and learn the game more then I know right now.ā€

As a 2017 graduate, the Hawkeye hopes to make the #CFC100 list because he wants to improve and be one of the best.

During the offseason, Aaron trains at least three days a week and changes his eating plan in order to bulk up. He also goes outside and works on his football skills.

The Hawkeyes standout Ā has two role models, the first being Michael Vick.

Even though he does not play the same position as Vick, he looks up to him for overcoming obstacles in his life and managed to keep football a priority while becoming one of the best.

Aaronā€™s second role model is running back Marshawn Lynch, as he views him as the best running back in the NFL right now and compares himself to Lynch.

There are a couple of main rwasons why Aaron is passionate about playing the sport.

ā€œThe reason I love football is the fact that itā€™s such a team sport and itā€™s like a family,ā€ commented the running back.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
