Patrick Murphy’s football experience has been incredibly positive thus far.

All the coaches have taught him so much about the game, as well as the rewards of hard work and dedication that pay off on beyond the field.

Recently, Patrick has played for his high school team, the Lucas Vikings.

“The Ontario Prospect Challenge (OPC) would give me the opportunity to train and play alongside the best football talent in Ontario and allow me to see where I can improve and become a better player and teammate,” said Patrick.

During the offseason, the Viking works out at the YMCA doing a weight training program, as well as attending a Sport Conditioning Camp that focuses on speed and agility drills.

This past fall Patrick also volunteered to help as a quarterback/wide receiver coach to younger players in his local league, which helped him see the game from another perspective, focusing more on planning and executing the plays of the game.

On the field, his idol is Cam Newton of the Carolina Panthers because everyone said he would not make it to the NFL, but he disregarded those comments, kept a positive attitude along with a dedicated work ethic and went on to become on of the NFL’s top quarterbacks.

Patrick loves football because it is a great sport that is physically challenging, requires planning and strategy, as well as a lot of fun.
