Dawson Overwijk started his career with six years in the Kinsman Minor Football League, where he won two championships.

The offensive lineman is also in his third year with the Peterborough Wolverines of the Ontario Football Conference (OFC), and has won back-to-back Ramsey Conference Championships.

During the offseason, he spends most of his time at the gym and playing on numerous sports teams at school.

Moreover, Overwijk has specific goals he would like to achieve at the Ontario Prospect Challenge (OPC).

β€œMy goals for the Ontario Prospect Challenge (OPC) is to gain more experience,” said Overwijk. β€œI also want to better myself on and off the field, also I hope to get noticed and to get my name out there.”

Even though high school graduation is in the distant future for Overwijk, he continues to play in the sport, which he is passionate about.

β€œI love football because of the intensity level and always knowing your team has your back at all times no matter what,” explained the Wolverine. β€œAnother reason why I love football is so I can meet new people and get to see the different ability at different levels.”
