One of the men tasked to help put things together behind the scenes is Team West Manager Larry Jusdanis. Jusdanis enjoyed a stellar career achieving All-Canadian honors quarterbacking the Acadia Axemen in the early 1990’s. Jusdanis is one of only two Canadian born quarterbacks to start a regular season game in the CFL in the last 20 years.  He is also the only CIS quarterback to be invited to participate at the NFL Combine.

Currently the owner of Sports Specific Training Inc., he was clearly excited to talk about the upcoming ONTARIO PROSPECT CHALLENGE and we asked his thoughts on the process so far. “I think one of the great success stories about the inaugural OPC is the quality of people we have both on and off the field, it takes great parents, players and coaches to put something like this together and I think we’ve been able to achieve this”.  When asked about his own hopes for the OPC, Jusdanis was quite clear, to help grow it. “It’s all about the kids and helping grow this” Jusdanis continued by stressing the more exposure, the greater the draw…. the greater the draw, the more it grows and so forth.  “Ultimately we want to get the best out of the players and help them grow not just as football players, but as individuals and transition into being tomorrow’s leaders. As a business owner I love hiring and working with ex-football players, as their drive and sense of teamwork are usually both very strong and very well developed.”

Catch all the action Sunday May 4th, starting at 10am from The University of Guelph’s Alumni Stadium.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
