The Wildcats, who won their third straight division title, thoroughly dismantled the Raiders with a showcase on offense. Superstar quarterback Nikko Stamatis tossed for a season high 320 yards and 4 TD`s, while a three headed rushing attack led by Jordan Richards combined for almost 200 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. Omari Archibald got in on the action as well, going over the century mark with 7 catches for 108 yards.

Metro’s defense held Markham to just a single touchdown thanks to stellar games by Kadeem Thomas (1 INT, 2 Solo Tackles, 1 Sack), Terrell Allert (2 Sacks) and Mustafa Sagbilge (2 Tackles).

Defensive Coordinator Quarshie was impressed with his teams ability to stop the Raiders stout run game. `We set out to stop the run and the defense was very stingy at the point of attack`, he exclaimed.

After their first round playoff bye week, the Varsity Cats will suit up and play the lowest seeded wildcard team in the semi-finals on Sunday, August 5th at Esther Shiner Stadium.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
