The junior varsity Hamilton Ironmen are striving to start the season in the win column when they face the Essex Ravens in their season opener this week. Last season, the Ravens demolished them 31-3.
The Ironmenβs offence is expected to be in fine form.
βI expect to have standout performances from Adrian Allen, Levar Anderson, Anthony Pimentel and Emjay Delizo,β said Ironmen Head Coach Michael Cornell. βOffensively we will be very strong.β
It will be important for them to beat the Ravensβ offensive line.
The Ironmen will have to focus on one particular aspect of their opponent.
βWe need to stop the run against Essex and limit big plays,β said Cornell.
Defence and special teams will likely be the determining factor in the outcome of the game.
βAt this point in the year, I think whoever has the best defence and special teams will winΒ on Saturday,β said Cornell.
Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
