Our Varsityā€™s game was suspended due to Lightning in Waterloo on Saturday.

The Coguars are down by a major.Ā  Game stopped 14-6 for Waterloo early in the 4thĀ quarter.Ā  Chatham Cougars Varsity will be going back to finish the gameĀ on Tuesday at 8:30PMĀ atĀ St David’s High School in Waterloo.Ā  Offense has moved the ball well, but had to settle forĀ Cam Creechan kicking 2Ā field goals.Ā  Chatham defense has played well, only allowing 2 TD after fumbles that gave Waterloo a short field.Ā  Chatham defense has had 6 sacks.Ā  Ethan Jordan has played very well at QB, rushing for over 75 yards and throwing for over 160 yards.Ā  Jonny Cartier has rushed for over 100 yards and Nakoma Scott and Ben Benard have combined to catch over 120 yards passing.Ā  Stay tuned for final results earlyĀ Wednesday morning.

Peewee Cougars punched their ticket for the Championship with a convincing win over the Brampton Bulldogs, 69-32.

The Cougars could not be stopped offensively with 6 different players finding the end zone.Ā  Sawyer Emmott wentĀ 10/14passing with 4 TDs caught by Caleb Roberts (18yds), Jacob Pretty (7yds), Jayden Baylis (17yds) & Tezmond Hadden (16yds).Ā  Roberts also rushed for scores of 16 & 80 yards.Ā  Skyler Mattia had another 3 TD day scoring on runs of 3, 55 & 57 yards while Elliot Peco added a 1yd score. Ā Reed Larson kicked 7 PATs.

Cougars defence contained the Bulldogs early with strong performances by Mattia and Conor Graham making 8 tackles each, CJ Roberts added 7 tackles, a forced fumble and an interception.

The Chatham-Kent Cougars travel to the Scarborough ThunderĀ Saturday, July 27Ā for the Championship.
