Previews and Predictions #CFC10 Ontario Summer Season – Bantam (1): Let’s get this party started!

This year we are happy to add bantam coverage to our #CFC10 Preview and Predictions. Each week we will take a look at key games with the coverage expanding as the season progresses.

To kickoff the 2015 season, here are our first Bantam Preview and Predictions.

Burlington Stampeders 1

#9 BRANTFORD BISON (0-0) @ TWIN CITIES PREDATORS (OFC)

The Preds missed the playoffs thanks to a final week loss at the hands of this same Bison team. Brantford finished 5-3 in 2014 and with plenty of returning players look to build on that success in 2015. There will be no revenge as the Brantford goes to 1-0

FINAL SCORE: BISONS 23 PREDATORS 11

YORK SIMCOE BUCS (0-0) @ # 6 CUMBERLAND PANTHERS (0-0) (OVFL)

Remember the name Jake Asselin. Asselin a product of the Gatineau Vikings system OVFL debut this season and if his CFC Ontario Prospect Challenge game was any indication, look out! This kid is tough enough to cut up between the tackles and fast enough to out run pursuit. The Bucs are in deep here, look for a one sided affair.

FINAL SCORE: PANTHERS 56 BUCS 14

#7 METRO TORONTO WILDCATS (0-0) @ OSHAWA HAWKEYES (0-0) (OVFL)

The ‘Cats look to be every bit as dominant in 2015 as they were in 2014 en route to a 7-1 regular season record. The over-matched Hawkeyes will fight hard as they always do, but Metro is too strong.

FINAL SCORE: WILDCATS 52 HAWKEYES 21

Β

#10 OAKVILLE TITANS @ #5 PETERBOROUGH WOLVERINES (OFC)

Oakville will try and extract a measure of revenge for last year’s 37-0 drubbing at the hands of these same Wolverines. Although many key Wolverine players have moved up to JV, this is still a formidable squad and should make another run at the championships, starting with a win at home against the Titans.

FINAL SCORE: WOLVERINES 31 TITANS 16

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
