OVFL JV: Ravens Send Eagles Packing with Blowout Win
The junior varsity Essex Ravens continues to impress this season. The Ravens offensive unit led the team to a 61-21 thrashing of the Etobicoke Eagles.
Quarterback Jake Faubert’s passing was exceptional in the game. Faubert had 9 completions in 16 attempts for 254 yards and 3 passing touchdowns. Chris Tannous, Brandon Speller and Brandon Dowhan each scored a major for the Ravens.
Matthieu Pickens continues to have an impressive and dominant season as he led all Ravens rushers with 148 rushing yards on 15 carries and three touchdowns. Jalen Jackson amassed 127 rushing yards on 21 carries and one touchdown.
The Ravens defense was extremely active all day forcing four turnovers and generating good field possession for the offense.
The junior varsity Ravens will next face the London Junior Mustangs on Saturday July 6th. Kickoff is 3:30pm.
