The junior varsity Toronto Thunder defeated their crosstown rivals, the Metro Toronto Wildcats 17-12 this past Saturday at home.
As a result, the Thunder will now enjoy a week off and prepare in their quest to become OVFL champions.
Quarterback Connor Smith had 14 completions in 21 attempts for 192 yards in the win, while running back Andre Goulbourne added 75 rushing yards and scored two touchdowns in the victory.
The Thunder will have the next two weeks to get ready for whomever they draw in the quarterfinals.
