  • In Week 0 of College Football Action, the most notable matchup was the first Big Ten matchup of the year in which Illinois beat Nebraska 30-22. Illini safety Sydney Brown was a big contributor with 9 tackles, while his twin brother, CFC100 RB Chase Brown, had 5 carries for 24 yards for the team. CFC100 DL Lwal Uguak and the UConn Huskies also took a 45-0 beating from CFC100 OT Dontae Bull’s Fresno State Bulldogs, while Hawaii CFC100 WR Nick Mardner had 3 catches for 35 yards in a 44-10 loss to UCLA.

  • CFC Prospect Game CFC100 Elic Ayomanor announced his commitment to Stanford this week. He had narrowed his list down to 3 schools from his 26 offers before ultimately deciding to join the Cardinal.

  • Last week’s report of K/P Lirim Hajrullahu having signed with the Cowboys was short-lived, as the Canadian kicker was waived this week, just a couple days after signing. There was more Canadian action on the business side of the sport though, as TE Luke Willson signed with the Seahawks as a free agent, before turning around and announcing his retirement the next day. The extremely athletic 6’5”, 255lbs tight end finished his NFL career with 111 catches for 1,307 yards and 11 TDs.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
