South of the Border: Multiple CFC100 talents getting NFL workouts

• Ole Miss DE Tavius Robinson accepted his Senior Bowl Invite on the  same day as his final performance for the Rebels. In the Texas Bowl , Robinson proceeded to post 5 tackles, a sack, and two forced fumbles. After finishing on a high note next on the agenda is the Senior Bowl in Mobile where he’ll be competing with fellow Canadians CFC60 OT Matthew Bergeron, CFC100 RB Chase Brown, and CFC100 DB Sydney Brown.

• Two offensive lineman who were in the transfer portal have found new homes in which thtyrell fordey will play out their final year of eligibility. CFC60 OL Christy Nkanu of Sotyrell forduthern Utah and passport Canadian OL Rusty Staats of Western Kentucky have transferred to Washington State and Texas Tech respectively. Look for them on the CFC40 2024 Draft Rankings.

U SPORTS/NCAA COMMITS

• The NFL workouts have continued rolling in for Canadians in the CFL, with the CFC100 Ford twins, CFC100 WR Kurleigh Gittens Jr., and CFC100 DL Mathieu Betts now having joined in on the fun. The list of these people in this contingent of Canadian CFLers who have had NFL workouts this offseason has now expanded to nine names with FPC QB Nathan Rourke and WR Kian Schaffer-Baker leading the way seemingly likely to sign futures contracts. The list also includes the aforementioned CFC100 QB Tre Ford, CFC100 CB Tyrell Ford, CFC100 WR Kurleigh Gittens Jr., and CFC100 DE Mathieu Betts, CFC100 WR Tyson Philpot, CFC100 WR Kaion Julien-Grant, and WR/TE Jevon Cottoy.

U SPORTS/NCAA CONSIDERATIONS

• 10 Canadians will be participating  in this year’s College Gridiron Showcase, with nine of them being U Sports players. The Canadian group consists of Penn State CFC100 LB Jonathan  Sutherland, Guelph CFC100 WR Clark Barnes, Guelph CB Siriman-Harrison Bagayogo, UBC CFC100 DE Lake Korte-Moore, Ottawa FPC LB James Peter, Concordia WR  Jeremy Murphy, Western CFC100 OL Phil Grohovac, Sherbrooke OL Anthony Vandal, Laurier DB Patrick Burke, and Toronto punter Dante Mastrogiuseppe.
