Still undefeated

OFC:  Mississauga Warriors roll the Hamilton Ironmen in Week 2 action.

The Mississauga Warriors look good and are 2-0 at Varsity and Junior Varsity, winning 27-14 over Hamilton.

Mississauga came out strong and had a 20-0 lead early in the first half.

A number of penalties and other mistakes cost the team at least two additional touchdowns in the minds of most who watched.  Hamilton was well coached team and never quit. In the second half, the Ironmen came out strong and marched the ball on the Warriors’ defense  scoring two touchdowns and almost adding a third.

Trea Ivey had 3 touchdowns and Jahvari Bennet ran for 100 yards and one touchdown.  Nate Hobbs had 22 completions on 34 attempts for 279 yards and three touchdown passes.  Jevon Wisdom and Williams Omiyi had two sacks each.

The Warriors will be focusing on execution and fixing discipline issues as they prepare for a strong Markham Raiders team.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
