OVFL:  Junior Varsity Thunder knocked out of playoffs

After enjoying a bye week, the junior varsity Toronto Thunder met a premature playoff exit this past Saturday  The top ranked Ottawa Myers Riders defeated the Thunder 28-7, ending the team’s season and championship hopes.

Playing at home this past weekend, the team were in tough against the league’s top team.

Quarterback Connor Smith had 7 completion in 23 passes attempts while running back Andre Goulbourne added 80 yards on 15 carries in a losing cause. Running back Steve Mpenga scored the Thunder’s only touchdown of the entire game.

Coach Bubba and the returning players will now have the offseason to regroup and prepare to make a run at the title next year.
