OVFL:  Varsity Ravens clinch conference, blowout Cowboys

The Adams Conference playoffs will be going through Essex.

The Essex Ravens clinched first place in the conference as well as a first round bye by blowing out the Halton Cowboys 62-0.

The Ravens were absolutely dominant from the opening kickoff and the game and never looked back.

Offensively, the Ravens continued to use their dominant running game to wear teams out. Eli Fera once again led the way with 18 carries for 148 yards and a touchdown. Cody McCann had 6 carries for 82 yards and 2 touchdowns. Quarterback Brandon Reaume  had a 27 yard touchdown run in addition to throwing 2 passing touchdowns – one to Chris Drouillard and another to Matteo Del Brocco.

Other touchdowns were scored by Carson Ouellette on a  long punt return,  Adam Slikboer on a fumble recovery.

Defensively, the Ravens limited the Cowboys to 83 total yards and forced 5 turnovers.

The Ravens will be off this week. Their next game will likely be Saturday August 3rd. Game time and opponent are still to be determined.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
