NFC: Transit take over 1st place in East, Imperials win big
It was the Adrien Kellman show this past weekend in Montreal.
Kellman scored two touchdowns on interceptions in the second half to lead the Montreal Transit to a 59-20 win over the Ottawa Invaders in Northern Football Conference (NFC) action.
With this win, the Transit move into sole possession of first place in the East Division with a 4-1 record. Meanwhile, the Invaders slide to a 3-2 mark on the season.
At halftime, the Transit enjoyed a 23-7 lead over the Invaders after quarterback Mathieu Rene connected with Thegane Bilardy (3 yard), Pascal Tshilambo (22 yard) touchdowns. Additionally, Andrew Hamilton ran the ball in 2 yards for a major.
