UBC lands first CFC 100 recruit

British Columbia offensive lineman becomes first CFC 100 to join CWUAA team’s 2015 class.

The University of British Columbia (UBC) Thunderbirds have landed their first CFC 100.

Recently, Nick Cessford committed to the team.  The 6’3, 270 pound offensive lineman from Parksville, British Columbia will join the team for the 2015 CWUAA season.

“I chose UBC because I believe that there is an unbelievable opportunity here in BC,” expressed the CFC 100 of his commitment.  “Coach [Blake] Nill is building another powerhouse and I couldn’t pass up on the opportunity.”

“UBC is a great school and has great facilities where I believe I will be successful.”

Previous to his commitment to the Thunderbirds, Cessford suited up for the Ballenas Whalers of the British Columbia High School Football Association (BCHSFA). This past fall, the CFC 100 offensive lineman was selected as a BCHSFA ‘AA’ All-Star.
