Ups and Downs for Wolverines

The Peterborough Wolverines hosted the Toronto Jr. Argonauts this weekend in an OFC triple header. The Sr. Wolverines still haven’t won a game this season but have a talented group of players that are constantly improving while the juniors improved their record to 2-0.

The weather played a big part in the Sr. Wolverines game, as there were severe downpours for the entire first half. At halftime the Wolverines were down 3 points from a 25-yard field goal made my the Jr. Argos. After halftime the rain let up and the teams could move the ball. In the 3rd quarter the Jr. Argos defense managed to find the end zone after an interception and then in the 4th the Argo offense scored on a 20 yard run en route to defeating the Wolverines.

The Jr. Wolverines put up 40 points against the Jr. Argos in a great overall team win. Touchdowns were scored by 4 different Wolverines with two on the ground and two from the air. The defense even contributed to the scoring by earning two safeties.
