I suspect everyone reading this piece is a fan of football and desperately wants to see the game not only continue, but to thrive. I have written articles pointing out how much negative press the game has received; notably with regard to health issues (brain injuries). I have also reported on some of the forward looking initiatives taken by Football Canada and Football Quebec to make the game safer, and to encourage parents and young athletes, that while there are risks, as there are risks in any any physical endeavor; the values inherent in the game outweigh those risks.
