Cowboys tamed

OVFL:  varsity Cowboys lose close one to Warriors

The varsity Halton Cowboys came up short in their game against the Mississauga Warriors, losing 35-23.

Cowboys Head Coach Jon Kronemeyer told CanadaFootballChat.com that he was impressed with the team’s discipline and believes with fewer turnovers, the outcome could have turned into their favour. The Cowboys’ ability to find offensive success was due to the performance of the team’s offensive line.

While the Warriors showed their experience, Kronemeyer is confident that the Cowboys have set the tone for the rest of the OVFL season.

WEEK 1:

Defensive standout performances: Marshall Whitall, LB, Josh Harrison, DL, Brett Colangelo, DB

Offensive standout performances  Akwasi Alcee, RB  (had a tremendous game), Brandon Roberts WR, Vince Reale WR

Halton Cowboys next game is Saturday, May 31 against the London Mustangs.
