The 5’9″, 180lbs prospect started his high school journey at St. Paul’s in Winnipeg, where he already garnered some early NCAA interest from North Dakota. Things started to kickoff when he ventured down south to attend Clearwater Academy in Florida, where he caught the eye of South Dakota, Valparaiso, Robert Morris, Grambling, Charleston Southern and Jacksonville State. In the end Richmond came out on top with a late offer that’ll allow Tomlinson to continue his career in Virginia.

NCAA EARLY SIGNING DAY TRACKER

He won’t be the first Canadian Spider with Richmond also signing Class of 2015 CFC100 WR Dejon Brissett, who now plays in the CFL for the Toronto Argonauts after transferring to Virginia to finish his NCAA career. They both follow in the footsteps of WR Danny Desriveuax, who was selected 43rd overall out of Richmond in the 2006 CFL Draft by the Montreal Alouettes.

Tomlinson was also named to the 2020 CFC Prospect Game that was unfortunately not played due to the pandemic.
