Hastings originally hails from Toronto, ON, where he grew up playing for the Durham Dolphins. He then spent time at Clarkson Football North before finishing off his high school career at Clearwater Academy in Florida.
The 6’5″, 290lbs prospect received plenty of action on the recruiting trails with offers from Michigan, Oregon, Georgia, and Florida amongst many other suitors, but in the end Nick Saban got his man. Hastings will be joining CFC100 WR John Metchie on campus, who committed to the Tide after being named number one Canadian recruit from the CFC100 Class of 2018.Β
Hastings was also named to the 2020 CFC Prospect Game that was unfortunately not played due to the pandemic.
