Ethan Doherty started playing football in 2012 with the London Minor Football Association (LMFA) with the Bulldogs.
In 2014, he played in the Ontario Minor Football League (OMFL) with the London Jr, Mustangs on both the offensive and defensive line.
That same year he and the LMFA Panthers won the championship, and played on the All Star team.
This past summer he played in the OMFL with the London Jr. Mustangs playing centre and offensive line, as well as in the fall with the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL) Mustangs as a linebacker and defensive lineman.
“My goals for the Ontario Prospect Challenge (OPC) challenge are to make the team, get coached and improved on his skills to make me a better player,” said Ethan.
During the offseason he does strength and conditioning training at Adrenaline MMA, as well as other combined clinics that his club puts on.
“On my own I do footwork training and running drills, and at healthy and take care of my body,” added the Mustang.
On the field his football role models are two of his coaches from this past season, Sean Cambell and Bruno Desando.
They gave him the confidence to try a new position and gave up their time to help Ethan after practice on their own time, and because of them he is a better football player.
“I love to play football because it is funny and challenging,” explained Ethan. “I love how as a team we can come together and over come anything with hard work and determination.”
“It teaches you discipline and respect.”
