The Battle River Shock came out on top after their week one showdown with the St. Albert Storm.
The first touchdown was scored early in the game by #22 running back Mike Ionidis. The Shock appeared tp be struggling after their first touchdown being down 14-6. Their punter Adam Loov seemed to be struggling with a few ill timed punts. The Shock’s second toouchdown came from an interception by #2 Jason Rivet who ran it in from 50 yards. Rivet had a total of 3 interceptions this week and appears to be a force to reckon with on the defense. Defensive back coach Steve Fowler is very confident in having a solid defense this season. The Shock’s final touchdown came from running back #31 Josh Prevost. The final score was 22-16 for the Shock, who will go back to a hard week of practice to train for next weeks game.
Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
