Shock suffer first loss of CDMFA season (SUMMARY)

The Battle River Shock took their first loss this week against the Millwoods Grizzlies. The final score was 21-14. The Shock scored first on a 30 yard interception return scored by #88 Aaron Taves.
“We could have won the game, but we made little mistakes and took penalties that we should know to avoid,” said the Shock’s defensive back coach Steve Fowler.

In the third quarter the score was 7-6 for the Shock. The defense grabbed another interception to run down to the Grizzlies 4 yard line. #16 Hiro ran in the Shocks final touchdown. The defense was definitely the fighting force for the Shock this week, as they could not seem to get a rhythm going on the offense. The Grizzlies final touchdown was on a 30 yard pass where the Shock just could not seem to keep up due to many players missing tackles.

The Shock is back in action Saturday, April 27, against the Lloydminster Red Dogs.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
