WOLFE: Training For Football Excellence – Minimal Contact – Possible?

As I have previously indicated, I hold that players can be prepped to play football, at a very high level, without having to constantly make contact. Why this insistence on limiting contact? I believe that changes must occur to save our game. The passage I have cited below, captures my fears for the future of football. I hope that I am wrong and that football will continue to thrive without requiring a number of significant changes.

“Can science save football? Perhaps, but it’s going to have to win that race against itself to do so. And that can only be achieved through a continued commitment to innovation, transparency, better equipment, and an attitude of willing adaptation for the good of players, fans, parents, and the bottom line.”

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
