For the seventh year in a row, Canadafootballchat.com (CFC) is pleased to bring you the national high school football rankings known as the #CFC50. The #CFC50 rankings considers all conference and non-conference games (in Canada and the United States) while scrimmages are not evaluated (there is no such thing as an exhibition game – those are non-conference games).
How is the #CFC50 evaluated?
Leagues included in rankings: British Columbia AAA Varsity, Alberta Tier One, Saskatchewan 12-man 4A, Manitoba AAA Varsity, Ontario OFSAA Bowl AAA qualified teams, Quebec Juvenile Division 1, New Brunswick 12-man, Nova Scotia Tier 1.
The #CFC50 is a RELATIVE RANKING that considers top tier leagues from all eight high school playing provinces (minimum one team represented from each province) and the strength of the league that they play in. Additional criteria used to determine the relative ranking are the ability to accomplish winning a championship, the impact players and performers on that team (ie. #CFC100s, CDN All-Stars etc.), and a team’s coaching and recent tradition.
The CFC Scouting Bureau consists of CFC Reporters, CFC Scouts, and selected local reporters and scouts who submit local ranking results on a weekly basis. The #CFC50 is released every Monday (other than on Holidays) at 12 noon.

#CFC50 Top 10
No. 1 W.F. Herman Green Griffins – As predicted, the Griffins came away with another win against Holy names 30-15 and improve their record to 5-0. It’s a tough job, though, being No.1. How long will they stay?
No. 2 Bev Facey Falcons – With a 46-17 win over Paul Kane, Facey stays undefeated for one more week. But this Friday will tell all as they face No. 18, 7-0 Harry Ainlay.
No. 3 A. N. Myer Marauders – Myer keeps the dream alive for another week with their shutout 37-0.
No. 4 Séminaire Saint-François Blizzard – Oh the Blizzard……brrrr is all we can say.
No. 5 Leboldus Golden Suns – The Suns had a playoff bye, but will need to get ready for round two when they face the O’Neil Titans on Friday.
No. 6 Cardinal Newman Cardinals – Newman jumps two with their win over Bishop Ryan 42-0. This was the third game they have shutout their opponent.
No. 7 St. Paul’s Crusaders – The Crusaders also jump two spots to finish their regular season play at 6-0. They will play Dakota in the quarter-finals of playoffs on the 27th.
No. 8 Terry Fox Ravens – The Ravens have practically cruised into the Top 10 with their undefeated league play so far. At 5-0, we think this train won’t stop until they meet some stronger competition in the playoffs.
No. 9 Henry Wise Wood Warriors – And now we have the Warriors. What do you say about a team that just unseated the undefeated and No. 1, St. Francis Browns? MIC DROP !
No. 10 St. Roch Ravens – St. Roch continues to dominate their opponents week in and week out. They have worked hard to get into the Top 10 and with their upcoming game against d’Youville on Friday, we think they’re going to stick around.
