Thursday, June 28, 2018 –Β Grenadiers battle for home-field advantage this Saturday

Kingston, ON – After a hard fought season the senior GMen will take on the Ottawa Sooners this Saturday in a battle for a second place finish and home-field advantage going into the playoffs.

The Grenadiers defeated the Cumberland Panthers last week 27-21 at Ottawa University’s Gee Gees Field and go into this Saturday’s final regular season game with a record of three wins and four loses.

β€œOn paper we got off to rough start but we were in it for most every game,” says acting president, Alexandra Reyes-Walsh.Β β€œWe are so proud of our players for keeping their heads high and leaving everything they have on the field each week.”

Note the time change for this Saturday’s game: The junior GMen kick off the day at Richardson Stadium at 1 p.m. The senior varsity coin flip is set for 4 p.m. Fans wear your red (maroon) and white to celebrate Canada Day weekend.

β€œIt was a tough season for our young junior team and we’d like to thank the players, coaches, families and fans for always being there to show their ever growing spirit, support and love for football,” added Reyes-Walsh.
