For the seventh year in a row, Canadafootballchat.com (CFC) is pleased to bring you the national high school football rankings known as the #CFC50. The #CFC50 rankings considers all conference and non-conference games (in Canada and the United States) while scrimmages are not evaluated (there is no such thing as an exhibition game – those are non-conference games).
How is the #CFC50 evaluated?
Leagues included in rankings: British Columbia AAA Varsity, Alberta Tier One, Saskatchewan 12-man 4A, Manitoba AAA Varsity, Ontario OFSAA Bowl AAA qualified teams, Quebec Juvenile Division 1, New Brunswick 12-man, Nova Scotia Tier 1.
The #CFC50 is a RELATIVE RANKING that considers top tier leagues from all eight high school playing provinces (minimum one team represented from each province) and the strength of the league that they play in. Additional criteria used to determine the relative ranking are the ability to accomplish winning a championship, the impact players and performers on that team (ie. #CFC100s, CDN All-Stars etc.), and a team’s coaching and recent tradition.
The CFC Scouting Bureau consists of CFC Reporters, CFC Scouts, and selected local reporters and scouts who submit local ranking results on a weekly basis. The #CFC50 is released every Monday (other than on Holidays) at 12 noon.

#CFC50 Top 10
No. 1 W.F. Herman Green Griffins – The Green Griffins hold on to top spot for another week as they were on a playoff bye and now will have to gear back up and take it to the next level. OFSAA Bowls are just around the corner.
No. 2 Bev Facey Falcons – The Falcons have gone 9-0 with little challenge. Alberta South is calling their name and we can hardly wait.
No. 3 A. N. Myer Marauders – With a smack down of 71-0 this past week, the Marauders are definitely making a statement for future opponents.
No. 4 Séminaire Saint-François Blizzard – SSF defrosts Triolet 42-8 and goes to the face another sorry soul in the Div 1 finale.
No. 5 Leboldus Golden Suns – Riffel gave Leboldus a good effort, but the Golden Suns remain 7-0 and will face Holy Cross in the 4A Provincial Final this weekend.
No. 6 Cardinal Newman Cardinals – Lucky Newman will be rested and ready to go for the second round of playoffs where they will face Bishop Ryan. The last time these two met the score was 42-0 for Newman so……
No. 7 St. Paul’s Crusaders – FINALLY! We want the rematch of Game 1, where St.Paul’s only beat Vincent Massey by 1 point! The final championship game is on the line and these two will battle it out again. We.Can’t.Wait.
No. 8 Terry Fox Ravens – It’s time for Terry Fox to wake up, they will have to get ready for the beasts of the AAA Western division, the blowout games of the season are over.
No. 9 Henry Wise Wood Warriors – The Warriors are coming off their first round bye and will face the Notre Dame Pride for the semi’s of the Div 1 in Calgary.
No. 10 St. Roch Ravens – This was a close one vs. Lorne Park, but the Ravens came out on top (and their fans are still letting us know).
