#CFC50 High School Rankings (4): Eight new teams, two new top 10’s, embarrassing Ontario scheduling – Is Herman in trouble?

For the fifth year in a row Canadafootballchat.com (CFC) is pleased to bring you the national high school football rankings known as the #CFC50.  First we would like to point out to administrators and coaches in parts of Ontario the following observations.  You are not a TOP TIER league if your schedule is decided less than a week before it starts.  We get the fact that developmental leagues and lesser tiers would have to do this, but if you cannot set your schedule at the very least in June you got problems! (many positive examples across the country – Edmonton declares their schedule in January)  Most of your players were born in the 1990s and some in the 2000s.  It is time to modernize your scheduling practices to reflect your players ages …the present process is unacceptable, embarrassing and it holds our sport back (and now you know why local media do not cover your league)…your players deserve it.

Good news from the week is that competition is high around the country.  Two new teams crack the top 10 and a total of eight new entries in the #CFC50.  #CFC100 defensive end Derek Dufault returned to high school action with a bang, recording 5.5 sacks.  Shout out to Mississauga’s St. Marcellinus Spirit who defeated CFC #7 and defending Peel champions in front of 2000+ fans at their ‘Friday Night Lights’ by a score of 36-0.
