For the seventh year in a row, Canadafootballchat.com (CFC) is pleased to bring you the national high school football rankings known as theĀ #CFC50.Ā The #CFC50 rankings considers all conference and non-conference games (in Canada and the United States) while scrimmages are not evaluated (there is no such thing as an exhibition game – those are non-conference games).

How is the #CFC50 evaluated?
Leagues included in rankings: British Columbia AAA Varsity, Alberta Tier One, Saskatchewan 12-man 4A, Manitoba AAA Varsity, Ontario OFSAA Bowl AAA qualified teams, Quebec Juvenile Division 1, New Brunswick 12-man, Nova Scotia Tier 1.
The #CFC50 is a RELATIVE RANKING that considers top tier leagues from all eight high school playing provinces (minimum one team represented from each province) and the strength of the league that they play in. Additional criteria used to determine the relative ranking are the ability to accomplish winning a championship, the impact players and performers on that team (ie. #CFC100s, CDN All-Stars etc.), and a team’s coaching and recent tradition.
The CFC Scouting Bureau consists of CFC Reporters, CFC Scouts, and selected local reporters and scouts who submit local ranking results on a weekly basis.Ā The #CFC50 is released every Monday (other than on Holidays) at 12 noon.
#CFC50Ā Top 10
No. 1 W. F. Herman Green Griffins –Ā 2016 OFSAA Western Bowl Champions. Some outstanding athletes who played a very disciplined, physical brand of football. The Griffins have a formula for winning which they used to beat their opponent in the OFSAA Bowl Festival and remain the No. 1 ranked team in Canada.
No. 2 A. N. Myer Marauders –Ā 2016 OFSAA Central Bowl Champions. Had some extremely athletic players at the skilled positions, and really made an effort to spread out and use all of the field, their athletes looked great in space as they were almost unstoppable in the first half.
No. 3 SĆ©minaire Saint-FranƧois Blizzard – QuebecĀ 2016Ā RSEQ juv. Division 1 Champions
No. 4 Leboldus Golden Suns – Saskatchewan 2016 4A Provincial Champions
No. 5 St. Francis Browns –Ā Alberta 2016 Tier 1 Provincial Champions

No. 10 – St. Thomas More Knights –Ā 2016 OFSAA Eastern Bowl Champions. STM put on an impressive defensive performance, holding their opponent to under 200 total yards. They worked hard to crack the top 10.
