#CFC50 High School Rankings (10): Blizzard melting in Quebec, Big showdowns, Comet landing on the Prairies & Greyhounds 1st?

For the fifth year in a row, Canadafootballchat.com (CFC) is pleased to bring you the national high school football rankings known as the #CFC50.

Two epic games will take place this week in the Canadian prairies.  CFC #9 St. Paul Crusaders hope to defend their title when the take on CFC #15 Oak Park Raiders.  Special teams may be the difference in this one.  Remember these names – James Teschuk, Cody Cranston, and Niko DeFonte.

In the other Prairie battle, CFC #10 Leboldus Golden Suns take on the CFC #11 Campbell Tartans.  The teams have played twice, each winning by ten points.  The game includes #CFC100 players Payton Hall, Chan DeCiman, and Kade Belyk.

Other big stories from last week and this week include a big upset in Quebec of former CFC # 5 Blizzard, Ontario gets into the playoff action on all fronts, Saint John Greyhounds are looking for first New Brunswick provincial title ever.  Head coach Dave Grandy hopes this year is a charm, a team that includes twin sisters, Ashley and Allisha.

In Nova Scotia, there will be a new Provincial Tier 1 Champion crowned this year.  After a one year hiatus, #CFC50 Citadel Phoenix will return to the Championship Final after handing the Prince Andrew Panthers a 58-8 thumping. Last year’s champions, Sir John A MacDonald Flames went down to defeat at the hands of Charles P Allen Cheetahs 20-11.

How is the #CFC50 evaluated?

The #CFC50 is a relative ranking that considers top tier leagues (listed below) from all eight high school playing provinces (minimum one team represented from each province).  The CFC Scouting Bureau consists of twenty-four CFC Reporters, CFC Scouts, and also selected local reporters and scouts who submit local ranking results on a weekly basis.  This is the fifth year that Canadafootballchat.com has ranked the top high school teams in Canada.

Leagues included in rankings: British Columbia AAA Varsity, Alberta Tier One, Saskatchewan 12-man 4A, Manitoba AAA Varsity, Ontario OFSAA Bowl qualified teams, Quebec Juvenile Division 1, New Brunswick 12-man, Nova Scotia Tier 1
